"If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion."  The Dalai Lama

I've been working in social services since 2002 and my experiences have given me many harrowing and inspiring lessons. I’ve learned from each client along the way and witnessed the darkness and despair of addiction and the perseverance of spirit. I’ve seen firsthand “Addiction doesn’t discriminate.  Park Avenue or park bench, addiction is still addiction” and I bring this unbiased perspective to my clients.

My own life experiences brought me to the field of counseling and clients often appreciate being in a vulnerable space with someone who has personally experienced both sides of addiction and recovery. I am a native New Yorker, receiving my Masters there and worked in many different treatment settings and homeless services in both private and non-profit agencies. I relocated to Maine in 2012 and counsel/coach clients and their families in both group and individual settings. I also provide training/addiction courses to students and seasoned clinicians in addition to providing clinical supervision to addiction counselors.
